Dale Sumner

Dale began his career by building teams for the California Wave Hockey Program, overseeing youth programs from Mites through 18AAA. He also served as the Safe Sport Coordinator for the organization. As the Hockey Director for the Fernando Soltero Hockey Academy, Dale was a long-time goalie coach, working closely with Reto Schurch, the Swiss National Goalie Coach. He specialized in vision enhancement, helping many goalies who went on to successfully play NCAA Division I hockey as well as become professional NHL goaltenders.

Dale was the California and North Dakota Scout for the Thief River Falls Norskies in the Superior International Junior League (SIJHL) and served as the Assistant General Manager during the COVID-shortened season. He has also assisted in identifying players for the Aberdeen Wings (NAHL), as well as teams in the NCDC, NA3HL, USPHL, and various college programs.
