The West Chester Wolves have announced that defenseman Liam O’Donoghue has been named the recipient of the Hardest Hitter Award for the 2024-25 NCDC season.
Standing at 6’1”, 200 pounds, O’Donoghue patrolled the blue line with a physical presence all season, racking up 79 penalty minutes in 37 games while adding two goals and seven assists. His relentless play in the defensive zone and ability to set the tone with punishing hits made him a force to be reckoned with.
Head Coach and GM R.C. Lyke praised O’Donoghue’s impact: "Liam plays the game with an edge that every team needs. He’s fearless, he steps up when it matters, and he makes opponents think twice before coming down his side of the ice."

Associate Head Coach and Assistant GM Tyler Casillo echoed that sentiment: "He’s the kind of defenseman you love to have on your team and hate to play against. His physicality and compete level set the standard for our team."
O’Donoghue’s hard-hitting style was instrumental in the Wolves’ success this season, and his dedication to playing tough, defensive hockey earned him well-deserved recognition.
