The West Chester Wolves Premier team is proud to announce that goaltender A.J. Golden has committed to play college hockey at West Virginia University for the 2025-26 season.
Golden, a 2004-born netminder from Westampton, NJ, made a significant impact in his first season with the Wolves. In 14 regular season games, he posted an impressive 1.98 goals-against average and a .929 save percentage, including one shutout. His consistent play between the pipes helped guide the Wolves in their inaugural USPHL Premier campaign and earned him recognition across the Atlantic Division.
"A.J. has been a rock for us this year,” said Wolves Head Coach Brian Leonard. “His work ethic, composure, and leadership have made him a cornerstone of our locker room. West Virginia is getting not just a great goalie, but an outstanding teammate and person."
Golden’s journey through youth and junior hockey has taken him across multiple leagues and levels—from the AYHL and EHL to stints with the Richmond Generals, New Jersey 87's, and Columbia Infantry. With every stop, he’s built experience and sharpened his skills, culminating in his strong season with the Wolves.
The entire Wolves organization congratulates A.J. on this well-earned achievement and looks forward to following his continued success with the Mountaineers.
