Wolves Forward Owen Cross Commits to SUNY Fredonia for 2025-26 Season

The West Chester Wolves are proud to announce that forward Owen Cross has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey at SUNY Fredonia beginning in the 2025-26 season.

Cross, a 6'2", 196-pound native of Bangor, Maine, joined the Wolves late in the 2024-25 campaign, bringing leadership and veteran experience to the forward group. Over his time in junior hockey, he developed a reputation as a hardworking, two-way player with a high compete level and strong playmaking abilities.

“Owen came in and made an impact right away. He brings maturity, leadership, and consistency every single day,” said R.C. Lyke, Head Coach and General Manager of the Wolves. “Fredonia is getting a complete player and an even better person.”

Before joining West Chester, Cross played for the Casper Warbirds (NCDC) and had a standout 2023-24 season with the Charlotte Rush (USPHL Premier), tallying 38 points in 40 games.

“Owen is a perfect example of what happens when you trust the process,” said Associate Head Coach and Assistant GM Tyler Casillo. “He’s earned this opportunity through hard work and perseverance. We’re excited to watch him take the next step in his career.”

Cross will join a SUNY Fredonia program competing in the SUNYAC, one of the most competitive conferences in NCAA Division III hockey.
