Wolves Fall Short Against P.A.L. in Hard-Fought Battle

The West Chester Wolves put up a strong fight but couldn’t overcome the P.A.L. Junior Islanders, falling 5-3 at Northwell Health Ice Center on March 21.

After trailing 2-0 in the first period, the Wolves responded in the second with a goal from Andrew Iwinski (9:05). However, P.A.L. extended their lead, making it 4-1 before the final frame.

West Chester pushed back in the third with goals from Joshua Swan (9:40) and Brayden Sprickman (19:10), but a shorthanded tally from P.A.L.’s Peter Labos proved to be the difference.

Goaltender Nicholas Hubbard made 31 saves in the loss, while the Wolves’ physical play led to a heated third period, including multiple fighting majors.
