The West Chester Wolves proudly announce that defenseman Kai Mencel has been named the NCDC Atlantic Division Player of the Month for January 2025!
Mencel (‘06/San Diego, Calif.) immediately impacted the blue line after joining the Wolves mid-month. The two-way defenseman posted eight points (3G, 5A) in eight games, providing both offensive production and strong defensive play. His presence helped solidify West Chester’s push for a playoff spot, with four of his points coming in his first three games with the team.
“Kai has been a tremendous addition to our team,” said Wolves Associate Head Coach Tyler Casillo. “His ability to contribute offensively while being reliable in our end has been huge for us. He plays with confidence, moves the puck well, and has fit in seamlessly with our group. We’re excited to see him continue to grow and make an impact.”
