The West Chester Wolves managed to come from behind and defeat the Connecticut Junior Rangers 3-2 in overtime on Friday night at Chelsea Piers, North.
The game got off to a quick start with the Junior Rangers jumping out to a 2-0 lead in the first period. Godochkin put Connecticut on the board at 11:38, followed shortly by a goal from Ondos at 12:25. The Wolves quickly responded, though, as Szepesi scored two goals within the final few minutes of the period to even the score at 2-2.

Both teams remained scoreless in the second and third periods, despite several penalties and a handful of chances. The goaltenders were sharp, with both teams struggling to capitalize on power-play opportunities. Davis stopped all 17 shots he faced in the second and third periods, while Kral made 35 saves through regulation.
In overtime, the Wolves found their break. Weissler scored at 4:23, assisted by Norman and Pasquale, to secure the 3-2 win.
The Wolves outshot the Rangers 45-40, with Davis earning the win after making 38 saves. Kral played well in net for Connecticut, stopping 42 of 45 shots.

The West Chester Wolves were defeated 6-2 by the Connecticut Junior Rangers on Saturday at PNY Sports Arena in a game that saw the Rangers pull away in the third period.
The Junior Rangers opened the scoring in the first period at 9:34 when Polumbus found the back of the net with assists from Harrison and Durina. Connecticut doubled their lead late in the frame when Stenglein scored at 17:35, putting the Wolves in a 2-0 hole heading into the second period.
The Wolves responded in the middle period, with Iwinski cutting the Rangers' lead to 2-1 at 10:26, assisted by Alfieri and Swan. However, Connecticut answered back at 16:41, with Zaharias extending their lead to 3-1 off a feed from Ondos and Semancik.

The third period saw the Rangers pull away. Ericksen scored just 2:03 into the final frame, making it 4-1. Harrison then added a short-handed goal at 8:51, further pushing Connecticut’s lead to 5-1. The Wolves managed to get one back when Iwinski scored his second of the game at 17:15, assisted by O'Donoghue, but it wasn't enough. Connecticut finished the game with a goal from Auch at 18:28, completing the 6-2 victory.
The Wolves outshot the Rangers 38-31, but Kral had a strong performance in net for Connecticut, making 36 saves. Davis, who stopped 25 shots for West Chester, faced a high volume of shots in the latter stages of the game.
Both teams had no power-play success, with neither able to convert on their opportunities.
