The West Chester Wolves U18 team showcased their skill and discipline in a 2-0 shutout victory over OHA Prep during the Tier 1 Hockey Federation Detroit Showcase. This matchup, designated the THF Game of the Week, highlighted the Wolves' exceptional teamwork and defensive prowess.
Markus Lunski opened the scoring at 5:35 of the first period with a brilliant play set up by Chase Kerr. The Wolves extended their lead in the second period when William Auger capitalized on a shorthanded opportunity, with Blake Berthiaume providing the assist at 3:39.
Goaltender Keegan Carswell stood tall between the pipes, earning the shutout while fending off all of OHA Prep’s scoring attempts. The Wolves' defensive corps played a pivotal role, blocking shots and clearing lanes to support their netminder.
Although the Wolves faced penalty trouble in the second period, their penalty-kill unit was flawless, successfully neutralizing OHA Prep's man-advantage opportunities. Aiden Conklin's double-minor and misconduct for head contact tested the Wolves' depth, but the team remained steadfast.
